PJ Library is a formative Jewish educational program that provides learning opportunities about Jewish culture, values and traditions through a wide range of stories and illustrations.

PJ Library (PJ for Pyjamas!) gives the monthly gift of high-quality Jewish books to families raising Jewish children between the ages of six months and nine years old. Through their educational content, the award winning books educate and celebrate Jewish culture, values and traditions through a wide range of stories and beautiful illustrations. PJ Library books are mailed directly to children so families can build their own Jewish bedtime libraries.

Today over 1200 families in Australia (excluding NSW and ACT) benefit from the generosity of the organisation that support this program – the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, Shalom, the JCA, the Besen Family Foundation, and the Victor Smorgon Charitable Fund.

The AJF is proud to have led the national expansion of PJ Library.

“Thank you so much. We received our very first book today. It was such an honour to receive a story about Gershwin and I felt to proud to be part of such an incredibly inspirational community and organisation. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for everything that you do for all the Jewish children. Including my own” – Parent, PJ Library.
